A useful list is short, specific and easy to update.
Count what actually travels
Record large furniture by room, appliances, fragile pieces and an estimated box count. Note dimensions for anything that may not fit in a lift. Do not forget balcony items, storage rooms or furniture at a second address.
Mark services separately
Identify pieces requiring disassembly, packing or unusual lifting. Send the same list to each mover so prices are comparable. If you add items later, request an updated written scope rather than assuming they are included.
