Bed moving
A bed takes more planning than its footprint suggests: it must pass through doorways and be assembled in the new bedroom. Identify the frame type, mattress size, headboard, storage and any lift mechanism before requesting a quote.
Types we move
The right approach depends on construction and building access. Mention the relevant version when requesting a quote.
Single or small double
A compact base may move intact, but a projecting headboard or long side rail still needs measuring.
Double or king-size
Large frames often require the headboard, rails and slats to be removed. Keep fittings in labeled bags.
Storage or lift-up bed
Empty drawers first. Follow the model instructions before touching gas struts or lifting hardware.
Bunk or adjustable bed
Photograph the disassembly order; protect power cables and the remote on an electric base.
Measure before booking
Share the frame size, headboard height and floors at both addresses. Measure doors, lift and the turn into the bedroom, allowing for padding. If the frame will not fit, arrange disassembly before moving day.
Pack and load
Use a protective mattress cover and pad corners and finished wooden surfaces. Slats, feet and screws should travel with the bed but not loose in the cargo area.
Reassemble at the destination
Tell the team which room and position the bed needs before unloading. Check whether reassembly and leveling are included, particularly for beds with drawers or a lift mechanism.
