A refrigerator is heavy and sensitive to tilting, impact and remaining water. Check model dimensions, door swing and kitchen access before moving day.
Types we move
The right approach depends on construction and building access. Mention the relevant version when requesting a quote.
Compact single-door
Easier to carry, but still remove food, shelves and glass before loading.
Standard top/bottom freezer
Measure cabinet and doors, and check kitchen passage and lift width.
Side-by-side
Doorway width, weight and manufacturer-approved door removal are especially important.
French-door or built-in
Ask how panels, fittings and doors detach; do not improvise electrical disconnection.
Prepare the appliance
Empty food, disconnect and defrost according to the maker’s instructions. Dry removable parts and secure shelves. If there is a water line, have a competent person disconnect it.
Check the route
Measure height, width, depth and handles, plus openings at both addresses. Share floors, lift details and the carry to the truck. A doorway photo can help plan a large model.
After delivery
Set the refrigerator level and wait before switching it on as directed for that model and transport position. Check stability, door closure and any leaks.
