Display cabinet moving
A display cabinet combines a heavy frame with fragile panels. It may be wooden, metal-framed or mostly glass; the packing method depends on construction, not height alone.
Types we move
The right approach depends on construction and building access. Mention the relevant version when requesting a quote.
Wooden china cabinet
Empty shelves and crockery; protect removable glass doors separately from the frame.
Tall glass display case
Check whether panels detach. Glass must never be used as a carrying grip.
Modular unit
Number sections and fittings so the layout can be restored after delivery.
Illuminated cabinet
Disconnect power, label cables and protect light fittings from pressure in the truck.
Inspect the construction
Measure the cabinet, doors, lift and turns. Send photos of hinges, glass shelves and lighting so disassembly can be discussed before moving day.
Pack the glass
Shelves and contents travel in separate labeled boxes, not inside the cabinet. Use soft padding and rigid outer protection for panels, and secure the frame against tipping.
Unload and inspect
Set the frame on a level surface before reinstalling shelves and doors. Check hinges, locks and lighting before discarding packaging or putting hardware away.
