Sort tools by shape, weight and handling needs
Make separate groups for hand tools, power tools, fasteners and long materials. Remove detachable accessories and place small parts in labeled containers. Secure sharp edges and moving components so they cannot shift; keep batteries and chargers together with the correct device.
Flag restricted or fragile materials before packing
Check product labels and local transport requirements for paints, solvents, gas cylinders or other hazardous materials; do not place uncertain substances in the moving load. Protect calibrated or delicate equipment in fitted packaging and tell the mover about unusually heavy machines, dimensions and any special handling needs.
