LIKEMOVING / JOURNAL51 — 123

When furniture belongs to the property, a clear room-by-room record prevents mix-ups at handover.

01

Separate the property inventory from your belongings

Walk through each room with the rental inventory, if one exists. Mark what belongs to the landlord, what you own and what will be removed, including balcony pieces, lamps and small appliances. Photograph the condition and location of items before packing; keep the images private and organized by room.

02

Prepare the handover and loading plan

Ask the landlord or manager about the return condition, access hours and key handover. Do not remove fixed fittings or discard property items without agreement. Share the actual moving list with the mover so the quote covers only what travels, and keep keys, documents and meter readings accessible rather than boxed.
